Reports about farms around the Lincoln area
To learn more about our suppliers, our employees often tour their farms. On these tours we learn about the local supply chain, which often involves one step: farm to store. They also learn about organic and biodynamic farming practices, raising animals, and the processes
of planting and harvesting.
Common Good Farm
"Common Good Farm is a mom & pop family farm...small, sustainable, certified organic & Biodynamic...growing good food since Autumn of 1996 for southeast Nebraska. We are just 15 miles northwest of Lincoln, near Raymond. We’re committed to sustaining a family farm in Lancaster County to provide delicious, healthful food for our community & neighbors...to tend the soil, grow the food & love the land."
Besides carrying their eggs & produce, we have many of Common Good's plant starts in our garden center
Shadow Brook Farm
"Shadow Brook Farm is a small, family owned specialty vegetable farm. We are committed to sustainable farming practices and are devoted to being good stewards of our land. We want to help move towards a "regional food system" where food is sold directly to the consumer rather than traveling many miles to reach your plate."
